Janey Trinkle (89) has been complaining for over a year that I look unhappy in photos, so here I went all MANIC in front of her camera (and in front of our vegetarian pizza).
At the temple (http://caltendai.org), one can have seclusion for the practice of meditation, fire ceremony, ascetic practice, liturgies, waterfalls, and mountain circumambulation, with a vegetarian regime and a Mahayana Bodhisattva rule. From this unwordly life, one travels outside to the world and its people, for their happiness and their benefit. Through altruism, one transforms suffering into enlightenment. You know, I have at least a dozen photos of you smiling and even acting a little silly.
